The Kingsbridge hotel is offering a night’s bed and breakfast for two with a two course table d’hôte dinner for just £137 per room, reduced from £227.
Or for those with romance in mind, Buckland’s ‘Kissing in the Rain’ offer is an ideal surprise gesture. The perfect excuse to stay indoors, it includes two nights in a Master suite, with a bottle of Champagne and a box of chocolates, four-poster bed, romantic two course dinner á deux one evening, and full English breakfast each morning for £346 per couple.
But those brave enough to venture out should look on the bright side and take the opportunity to borrow a brolly and a pair of wellies and splash their way through some of Devon’s most beautiful countryside and coastlines, before warming up with a traditional Devonshire cream tea.
And with plenty going on under cover in the nearby towns of Kingsbridge and Totnes, a few showers needn’t ruin a fun-filled holiday.
