TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING WEDDING
RECEPTION/CIVIL MARRIAGE CEREMONY:
1. CONDITIONS
A completed and signed Wedding Agreement Form and appropriate interim
payment is required within 14 days of the original verbal booking.
Should this not be forthcoming Buckland-Tout-Saints Hotel (hereafter
referred to as Hotel) shall be entitled to treat the provisional
booking as cancelled.
2. PRICE
In the event of any taxation change beyond the control of the hotel
(e.g. increases in the standard rate of VAT) the Hotel reserves
to vary the prices quoted to an extent which reflects such charges.
3. LOSS OR DAMAGE
The client is responsible for any loss or damage caused to the Hotel
property/equipment or any equipment hired to the client, by the
client or the clients guests.
4. FINISHING TIMES
Functions must finish at the time agreed when booking and extensions
of the time may not be possible.
5. NUMBERS ATTENDING
On the enclosed agreement is shown the number of guests attending
the Wedding reception. This is the minimum number that will be charged
for. An increase in number may be possible.
6. PAYMENT TERMS FOR WEDDING RECEPTIONS
- a) Deposit required: £150.00 Blue Room
£250.00 Queen Anne Room
£500.00 Banqueting Room
with Wedding Reception/Marriage Ceremony Agreement Form to secure
reservation.
- b) 50% of anticipated account three months prior to Wedding
Reception.
- c) Remainder of anticipated account one month prior to Wedding
Reception.
- d) Any extra charges should be settled within seven days of
Reception.
7. PAYMENT TERMS FOR WEDDING CEREMONIES
- a) Appropriate room hire charge with Wedding Reception/Ceremony
Agreement Form.
- b) Any extra charges should be settled within seven days of
Reception.
8. CANCELLATIONS
In the event of cancellation by the client, the Hotel will undertake
to mitigate its losses and re-let the function room(s) with similar
catering arrangements. The Client will be responsible for the loss
incurred by the Hotel in the event that the function rooms remain
unoccupied, or are occupied at a lower income level for the Hotel
on the date booked. The cancellation charges imposed by the hotel
will therefore reflect the actual loss. Any postponement and contracted
business will be treated as cancellation.
9. CANCELLATION BY HOTEL
The Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking if:
- a) Any part of the Hotel is closed or unavailable because of
an event beyond the Hotels control.
- b) The booking may, in the reasonable opinion of the Hotel,
damage the reputation of the Hotel.
- c) Either party becomes insolvent.
